Meeting New Friends

Find out what's on the schedule for this summer! Click here to read the current newsletter, Mill Race Alive!

More than 2500 seniors are members of the Senior Center Club, and additional non-members take advantage of basic health, nutrition, and transportation services offered through SCS. S urveys of participants indicate that 92% make new friends, and 89% believe their mental health is better as result of participation.

Members feel comfortable in confiding in center friends and in depending on them if needed.

The Center also provides some excellent opportunities for involvement of seniors new to the community. Support groups such as On Your Own help seniors who have lost a spouse begin again.

A delicious catered lunch is served at the Senior Center on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of each week. If you are tired of staying in or eating alone, join us for lunch and meet new people, make new friends, and enjoy a nutritious, tasty lunch for only $2.50 (persons 60 and over) or $4.00 (persons under the age of 60). Call 376-9241 to sign up before noon a day in advance so we will have a meal for you!
